We have found that due to the very large number of suppliers and the lack of any specialized knowledge needed to operate tracked crushers, there is no point in our offering them for sale. If we are asked to supply these machines we can probably obtain one cheaper than you. But basically this is not an area in which we wish to compete.

For many years we have been working with various manufacturers, particularly Cedarapids, Parker, Metso, etc. to purchase semi mobile machines and either set them up as semi mobile, or convert them into fixed plants.

As supplied, these machines realistically fit between tracked mobile units and fixed plants, they can have throughputs far exceeding what you would get from a tracked unit and have a much better product cost per tonne. Remember that on a typical tracked unit, more than 50% of the cost goes into the frame, tracks and controls to operate the tracks. They are very heavy, you get a small feed hopper, small feeder and they are difficult to work on.

With a semi-mobile plant, almost all of the cost is spent on what actually does the work and it can still be moved easily around the site and quickly set up, plus you do not need a low loader to move it from site to site. The conveyors can be long enough to give a decent stockpile but are still able to be folded over and stacked on a flat truck.

These pictures show a Parker plant that was crushing basalt gravel at Wadi Hatta in the UAE.

Jack redesigned and managed this plant, doubling the throughput.

The picture on the left shows a semi mobile jaw primary with a sixty tonne capacity hopper, loose mounted above it.

The picture on the right shows a semi-mobile plant fitted with a Cedarapids  52 by 240 inch  vibrating grizzly feeder and 52-30 inch single toggle jaw crusher.

The pictures above and show a pair of Sureshot/Cedarapid MVP380 combined screen and cone crusher plants.

The machines below are a mix of 20x8 and 16x6 foot Sureshot/Cedarapids screens.

Both the cones and the screens were bought to be partially stripped and converted to fixed units. They were fitted with guards and walkways conforming to UK specifications.
